When and how do I register my child for seminary?

When?

Seminary follows the calendar year (January to December). Each youth begins seminary in the year they turn 14. Regardless of the month or day of their birth, if your child will turn 14 during the year, then they will begin in January of the year they turn 14.

For example: If your child was born on October 24 (2008), they will turn 14 in 2022. They will therefore need to start seminary in January 2022.

How?

To register your child for seminary:

1. Visit the Church website at MySeminary.churchofjesuschrist.org (or click on the link).

2. Log in with your own LDS account credentials.

3. Follow the instructions on the website to give your consent for your child's enrollment. This consent is only required during the first year of seminary.
